Today on the blog, I’ll be sharing how to create a Ribbon Letter and give it dimension by blending colors and applying dramatic shadows.
What you’ll need: Pencil, paper and the Tombow Dual Brush Pens.
Step 1: To begin, draw the outline of the letter of your choice, in any style of lettering. I selected this ribbon style.
Step 2: Proceed to fill in each of the areas with your base color, using the large tip of your Tombow Dual Brush Pen. You will begin using the lightest shade of color.
After filling in all the sections, erase all the pencil traces.
Step 3: Using the darkest color you want to use to create the gradient with, begin to blend starting from the edge.
Complete this step for each of your colors.
You have now created a bold ribbon letter effect that makes any word really stand out off the page!
